Craig Avionics was founded in 1977 by Craig Davenport at the Bangor International Airport, Bangor, Maine. Having spent time in the Air Force trained as an Avionics Repairman and years working in the New England area Craig decided to better serve the general aviation industry and start his own business.

In 1988, he moved the business to Concord Municipal Airport in Concord, New Hampshire (KCON) where Craig Avionics remains a leader in radio and radar repair/service and full radio package installations, including autopilot systems.

Craig Avionics, in 2013, became a division of JBI Helicopters, proudly servicing Garmin, Sandia, Genesys, Electronics International, JPI, PS Engineering, Appareo, L-3, and Aspen general aviation customers in the New England, New York and New Jersey areas, as well as other eastern states and Canada.
